When the On option is selected, a fade-out is applied if the Slow Down option is selected or a fade in is applied if the Speed Up option is selected.

Off

When the Off option is selected, no fade-in or fade-out is applied in the rendered Edit selection.

This can result in a more pronounced “tape-stop” or “tape-start” effect and can also be useful for preserving the dynamic level at the end of the Edit selection when the Slow Down option is selected, or the beginning of the selection when the Speed Up option is selected.
